One of Australia's premier community radio stations, 4MBS ClassicFM has received many awards for contributions to broadcasting in Australia and the promotion of young and emerging artists & musicians through many school, university and community based activities.

4MBS ClassicFM was named Australia's Radio Station of the Year at the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia's 2004 Awards.

4MBS has a small number of paid staff and about 300 volunteers covering all aspects of the station's operation. As well as broadcasting 24 hours a day every day of the year, the station presents a series of events each year promoting classical music, including the annual 4MBS Festival of Classics - Australia's largest classical music festival.

4MBS is supported by annual subscriptions, donations and bequests, sponsors and a range of fundraising activities.

4MBS Performance Studio

Our Performance Studio adjoins our main building at 384 Old Cleveland Road, Coorparoo.

It has a seating capacity of 55/65, a grand piano, modern styling, flexible lighting, recording booth and an adjoining kitchenette. It's ideal for small concerts, lectures, workshops, seminars, meetings, exhibitions, etc. The venue is wheelchair accessible and has off street parking for up to 15 cars. Hire rates are very reasonable.
